This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations of subscriptions and services provided by DocVerify.

1. Subscription Cancellation

1.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

1.2 Cancellation Effective Date

Cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to the Service until the end of the paid period.

1.3 No Partial Refunds

If you cancel your subscription mid-cycle, you will not receive a partial refund for the remaining days. Your access will continue until the end of the billing period.

2. Refund Eligibility

2.1 Refundable Situations

We may provide refunds in the following circumstances:

Duplicate Payment: If you were charged twice for the same subscription
Technical Issues: If you are unable to access the Service due to our technical errors
Unauthorized Transaction: If your payment was made without your authorization
Service Not Delivered: If we fail to provide the Service as described

2.2 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be provided for:

Change of mind after purchase
Failure to use the Service
Not reading the terms before purchase
Violation of Terms of Service resulting in account termination
Refund requests made more than 7 days after the transaction date

Refunds will be credited to the original payment method
You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is processed
Bank processing times may vary (typically 3-10 business days)

3.3 Refund Amount

Refunds will be for the full amount paid, minus any transaction fees that cannot be recovered from the payment processor (Razorpay).

4. Payment Gateway Refunds

All payments are processed through Razorpay. Refund processing is subject to Razorpay's policies and procedures. We will initiate the refund through Razorpay, but the final processing time depends on:

Razorpay's processing time
Your bank's processing time
Payment method used (credit card, UPI, net banking, etc.)

5. Disputed Transactions

If you dispute a transaction with your bank or payment provider:

We will investigate the dispute promptly
We may temporarily suspend your account during investigation
We will provide all necessary documentation to resolve the dispute
If the dispute is resolved in your favor, a refund will be processed

6. Free Trial Period

If we offer a free trial period:

You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
No refund is required if you cancel during the free trial
If you are charged after the trial, standard refund policies apply

7. Special Circumstances

7.1 Service Discontinuation

If we discontinue the Service, we will provide prorated refunds for unused subscription periods.

7.2 Force Majeure

We are not liable for refunds if Service interruption is due to circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, government actions, etc.).
